These Terms & Conditions apply to all sales and services provided by Midlands Kitchens (“we”, “us”, “our”) to customers (“you”, “your”). By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
1. Quotations & Orders
- All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- An order is only confirmed once a deposit is paid and written acceptance is received.
- It is your responsibility to ensure all details, measurements, and specifications are correct before approval.
2. Payments
- A deposit (typically [50 %]) is required to secure your order unless agreed otherwise.
- Full payment must be made prior to delivery or installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, debit/credit card, or other approved methods.
- Goods remain the property of Midlands Kitchens until paid in full.
3. Delivery
- We will agree an estimated delivery date with you.
- Delivery dates are approximate and may be subject to change due to manufacturing or logistics delays.
- You are responsible for ensuring safe and clear access to the delivery address.
- If you are not available to accept delivery, redelivery charges may apply.
- For supply-only orders, goods are delivered to the agreed location and checked on arrival.
4. Installation (Where Applicable)
- Installation dates will be scheduled following design approval and delivery confirmation.
- You must ensure the site is ready, accessible, and clear before installation begins.
- Any required plumbing, electrical, gas, or structural works must be completed or approved in advance.
- Additional work required due to unforeseen issues (e.g., uneven walls, damaged floors, pipework relocation) may incur extra charges.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party contractors arranged by you.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate measurements unless our team completes a survey.
- Obtain any necessary planning permissions, consents, or approvals.
- Ensure suitable utilities and access are available during fitting.
- Inspect goods upon delivery and report any visible damage within 48 hours.
6. Changes & Cancellations
- Changes to orders after confirmation may affect cost and timescales.
- Custom or made-to-measure items cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has started.
- If you cancel before delivery, charges may apply to cover costs incurred.
7. Returns & Faulty Goods
- For supply-only orders, any manufacturing defects must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
- Damaged or incorrect items will be repaired or replaced within a reasonable timeframe.
- Items damaged due to improper handling, installation by others, or misuse are not covered.
8. Warranties
- Product warranties vary by manufacturer.
- Wear and tear, misuse, or customer alterations are not covered by warranty.
9. Liability
- We are not liable for delays caused by external suppliers, transport issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
- We are not responsible for damage caused by third-party contractors or unsuitable site conditions.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of your order.
10. Ownership of Goods
Ownership transfers to you only when full payment has been received.
We reserve the right to recover goods not paid for in full.
